Bladder Cancer
Cancer that begins in the urinary bladder. This cancer typically affects older adults. It's usually diagnosed early, when it's still treatable. The most common symptom is blood in the urine.
Treatment depends on stage
Treatments include surgery, biological therapy and chemotherapy.
Surgery
- Transuretheral resection of bladder tumor (TURBT)
- Radical cystectomy with ileal conduit and bilateral pelvic lymphadenectomy
- Neoadjuvant chemotherapy followed by surgery
- Palliative cystectomy in select situations
